Advertising for therapy practices
Google Maps Ads for Therapists
Help nearby searchers find the practice and understand how to contact it. Google Maps advertising uses eligible Google Ads campaigns and location information; it is not a separate Maps-only campaign product.
Who this service is for
For therapy practices with a genuine eligible location, accurate business details, and local appointments to offer. Telehealth-only services need a separate assessment of their eligibility and appropriate geographic advertising approach.
Connect the campaign with accurate location details
Local advertising depends on the practice's actual business information. We review the Business Profile connection, address, hours, website, and phone details before enabling relevant location assets. Each location should lead people to information about appointments they can actually attend.
Choose an eligible campaign route
Google describes Maps ads through eligible campaigns using location assets and through options such as Performance Max. A Maps appearance is a serving surface, not a guarantee that every ad will appear there. Google explicitly states that ads cannot currently be set to serve exclusively in Maps.
Match the catchment to the practice
A local campaign should account for office location, reasonable travel, specialties, and clinician capacity. A nearby search is useful only when the destination provides the requested care and has an intake route. We distinguish in-person appointments from telehealth services in the ad and landing page.
Budget around meaningful local actions
Calls, website visits, and directions can show interest, but they do not all represent booked therapy appointments. We agree which actions matter and review the conversion settings. The budget needs to make sense within the broader Search or Performance Max campaign that can serve on Maps.
Keep paid Maps visibility separate from organic rankings
Advertising does not purchase an organic Maps ranking. Accurate profile details and useful location pages support the visitor experience, while paid placements have their own eligibility, budget, and reporting. We explain that distinction when reviewing the practice's local visibility.
Questions about Google Maps Ads for Therapists
Can we run ads only on Google Maps?
Google currently says Maps-only serving is unavailable. We assess the eligible campaign types and explain where else the ads may appear.
Do Maps ads improve my unpaid ranking?
Paid placement and organic local ranking are separate. A Maps ad should not be sold as a purchased improvement to the practice's unpaid position.
Can multiple offices be included?
Eligible locations can be assessed individually. We need accurate location information, relevant pages, and a plan that reflects each office's services and availability.

Our published case studies describe Google Ads accounts we manage. They explain how we evaluate inquiries and intake outcomes; they do not establish performance for this service or another advertising platform.
